Kyra Watral, B.S. is a PhD student in the Interdisciplinary Graduate Program in Immunology at the Unviersity of Iowa. She recieved her B.S. in Applied Chemistry and Molecular Biology at Jacksonville State University in Alabama. Her current research involves investigating methods to improve morbidity and mortatlity associated with neonatal sepsis; improving neonatal gut barrier function; elucidating mechanisms of iron trafficking in neoantes; and characterizing how neonatal TCR signaling differs from that of adults.
